OPTIONAL CANVAS GRADE
Create an assignment
Turn on grading when this activity should return a score to Canvas. Leave it off for open-ended practice or ungraded review.
In spaced practice the score is the student’s progress toward the goal level. It rises with each session and reaches 100% when every item is at the goal. Canvas shows this score in the gradebook from the first session, so it starts low and climbs. Tell students to expect that, or hide the grade until the due date (in the Canvas Gradebook, set the assignment’s Grade Posting Policy to Manually).
Flipcard sends Canvas a percentage based on this total. Set the assignment points in Canvas to match.
Flashcards count as reviewed when flipped. Multiple-choice and true / false items allow one answer per attempt. Shuffling preserves answers and progress.
